Zimmer Industries offers a full line of perforating rule that is commonly referred to in the industry as QZ3 Perforating Rule. The name implies the quality of this rule, which provides tolerances that are the tightest in the industry, along with the hardest available steel for perforation rule to ensure maximum perforating effectiveness. However, based on the continuous challenges facing all rule manufacturers in the United States, in early 2004 Zimmer Industries will introduce our fourth generation of perforation rule that will combine the world's finest steel, along with Zimmer's exclusive AccuPunch™, to ensure faster, easier set-ups, and guaranteed superior blade life. In addition to their perforating rule, Zimmer offers two types of microperforation rule. Invisible Microperf, was the first microperforating rule offered in the marketplace. This rule was first introduced in the late 1980s and today is still one of the most widely used rule in the industry. In the mid-1990s, Zimmer Industries introduced a second type of microperforating rule. This rule was another industry first as it combined a 21° bevel, with a square tooth that allowed for a cleaner, and more precise microperforation of the material. This rule, MicroMax™, is currently offered in more than 100 variations of tooth and space. MicroMax™ has the industry's smallest tie (area between the teeth) that allows for even the most difficult of material to be microperfed with minimal material displacement to guarantee excellent edge appearance. In the early part of 2000, Zimmer introduced the first ever UltraMicroperf for perforating tear resistant paper, plastic, film, foil and other tough to perf material. UltraMicroperf is manufactured with ties as small as .002". This virtually eliminates any type of problem with tear propagation, and even allows for the fan folding of material. UltraMicroperf also allows for the microperforating of shapes, when used in conjunction with chemically or machined etched flexible dies. Zimmer has patented this process for use with special labels that eliminate the need of a carrier sheet. Zimmer also offers a full line of the industry's finest cutting rule, a symmetrically profile bevel that uses an extra hard steel, guaranteeing longer blade life and higher performance. Zimmer's full range of creasing rule is also manufactured to our rigid standards and is available in most standard heights for immediate delivery. Zimmer inventories over 1,000,000 feet of finished product in the New Jersey and Missouri facilities, with additional inventories at the Form Flo warehouse in Phoenix. Zimmer product is available for immediate customer needs. |
